  • National Grid spokesperson Patrick Stella said higher winter bills stem from increased natural gas costs, colder weather and a new rate plan that raised delivery fees around $50. EDUCATION NEWS

  • At a public forum Thursday evening, parents in the Scotia–Glenville school district questioned the plan to close an elementary school as budget concerns, low enrollment, and high administrative costs fueled worries about financial transparency — they asked for clearer details on potential savings and building repurposing.  CBS 6 Albany
