  • Schenectady Shares is launching its fourth annual donation drive to support local families, with Schenectady County Legislator Michael Aragosa reviewing donor names. The drive will accept food donations from community members at designated drop-off spots and will help households in need.  The Daily Gazette

  • A new exhibit 'Beyond the Archive: Rediscovering the Art of Shui Kong Yuen' opens at Beuth Atrium in Schaffer Library, featuring 17 curated photos from the collection documenting campus life.   • The Scotia-Glenville Board of Education announced plans to keep the 2026-27 school budget at or below the tax cap so local taxpayers may avoid tax hikes.  The Daily Gazette

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • State officials warned volunteer firefighter staffing is at a 40-year low after meeting at the state Capitol yesterday to urge lawmakers to ease rules that led to six closures last year, while Schenectady’s union noted higher call volumes and mayor McCarthy said new grant funding will support recruit training.  CBS 6 Albany
  • Gov. Hochul & Attorney General James warned residents to watch for price gouging on essential goods as tensions in the Middle East may delay imports and drive up costs. Residents are urged to report suspicious price hikes to hold businesses accountable.  CBS 6 Albany
