  • Police located EmmaLynne Lasher, the missing 16-year-old from Amsterdam who was last seen before 10 a.m. on March 27 and believed to have left with an acquaintance—officials confirmed she is safe and thanked the public for their help.  WNYT
  • Schenectady Police are investigating an unknown incident on State Street that occurred just before 3 a.m. on March 29—shortly after which a stabbing victim was taken to Ellis Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and no arrests were made.  CBS 6 Albany

HEALTH NEWS

  • Medicare watchdog groups advise seniors to beware of scammers offering free genetic tests that later charge Medicare, which may cost between $9,000 and $11,000. Seniors should check their Medicare Summary Notices and confirm any telemedicine consultation with a trusted doctor — the New York Statewide Senior Action Council issued the warning.  CBS 6 Albany
