- ➤ Nyqwuan Monroe, a 26-year-old from Schenectady, was sentenced on March 27 to 53 years to life in State Prison for his role in a Kingston burglary that led to a second-degree murder on July 27, 2023—he was convicted on multiple charges following a jury trial. CBS 6 Albany

CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Steinmetz Symposium Student Art Exhibition is open in the Crowell and West Galleries in the Feigenbaum Center for Visual Arts and displays 250 works by more than 80 students from the 2024–25 academic year using digital art, drawing, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture. The free exhibition — part of the symposium — runs through May 15 and also offers a virtual walkthrough. Union College
- ➤ Today the student band Nott Logical practiced in the WRUC studios at Reamer Campus Center, playing covers and original songs that have earned them a growing following on campus since their October debut. - ➤ New York Oncology Hematology is offering CAR-T therapy (chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy) at Albany Medical Center that uses patients' own immune cells to fight cancer.
