- ➤ Board leadership for the planned Capital Region Aquatic Center in Schenectady announced a $1M investment over the next 10 years; board president Kara Haraden and her husband will pledge $100,000 per year while Mohawk Honda and SUNY previously contributed $250,000 each to support the project. - ➤ Construction crews uncovered a time capsule during work at Schenectady High School that contained clippings, district letters and personal mementos — items that trace the school’s evolution from Linton High School to its modern form. CBS 6 Albany
- ➤ Union partnered with the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School to launch an accelerated 4+1 pathway that lets qualifying high school seniors and juniors earn their master’s in business one year after obtaining their bachelor’s, with early admission and a guaranteed scholarship covering at least 30 percent of tuition.
