- ➤ The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society is holding a seminar on animal abuse to help locals learn how to spot and report abuse cases. The seminar takes place today from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the MHHS Community Room in Menands with a $10 fee (waivers available) and asks that attendees leave pets at home. WNYT

- ➤ A month ago, Amanda Jaikaran was fatally stabbed in front of her family and today her ex-boyfriend was arraigned on charges of murder—weapon possession—and attempted assault as her family spoke out outside the courthouse in Schenectady. WNYT
- ➤ On Saturday morning, Rotterdam Police investigated a stabbing on Guilderland Avenue after a man left Sliderz All American Bar and Grill and received a stab wound at around 4 a.m.—the suspect is described as a light-skinned or Hispanic man in a red hat and red sweatshirt, and the victim is in stable condition at Ellis Hospital. - ➤ A man was stabbed outside Sliderz Bar & Grill (on Guilderland Avenue early Saturday morning) and is in stable condition after receiving treatment for a torso wound, while police investigate a physical altercation and seek a suspect (wearing a red hat and sweatshirt). CBS 6 Albany
- ➤ 52-year-old Rance White was arraigned at Schenectady County Court where he pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and criminal possession after fatally stabbing 38-year-old Amanda Jaikaran on March 14 at a home on 818 Lincoln Ave—he will remain in custody until his next court appearance in May.
