- ➤ MHHS in Menands saw its pet food pantry empty on April 15, and community donations quickly arrived + helped families keep feeding their pets. Volunteers and donors stepped in to ease hardships for those struggling to buy pet food. WNYT
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Professor Jillmarie Murphy at Union College released a four-volume study titled Women and the Environment in the Long Nineteenth Century, exploring women's roles in wartime, creative, and scientific arenas. The work will be available April 30 through Routledge. Union College
- ➤ Union will offer voluntary active shooter training led by experts from Campus Safety, Schenectady PD, and County Emergency Management on April 22 and April 24 at Reamer Campus Center Auditorium — the free sessions for faculty, staff and students will teach life-saving techniques using Union-specific scenarios.
