- ➤ The Mohawk Hudson Chapter of the Antique Outboard Motor Club is hosting its annual swap meet on Saturday, April 26 at Schrader and Company in Burnt Hills from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.—dozens of collectors will gather to trade and admire vintage boat motors that many have collected over the years. WNYT

- ➤ Capital Region natives Ali and Thomas Bland have revitalized The Schenectady Trading Company at 10 N Center Street by addressing flooding issues and filling the store with unique local and vintage items. - ➤ On April 17 at around 7:19 p.m., Schenectady police responded to a domestic shooting on North End Drive after neighbors alerted them to a disturbance; officers found 44-year-old Donald Rickson with a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the apartment where his wife sustained gunshot wounds to her hand and torso and was taken to a local hospital in stable condition. - ➤ Lavender, the abandoned dog with a cut ear found in Schenectady last month, greeted police, Animal Control, and the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society with tail wags and trust during a special visit—while a local man was arrested in connection with her abandonment but no charges for abuse were filed—and investigators are seeking more information. - ➤ The Scotia-Glenville Central School District has introduced a bus stop-arm photo enforcement program to boost student safety.
