- ➤ Emma StarPoint Autism Support Network will host its 3rd annual fundraiser next weekend—an event designed to support families with autistic children during Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month. The non-profit, established in February 2023, aims to create a nurturing space for families to share their journeys. CBS 6 Albany
- ➤ Over 3,000 volunteers joined New York’s Canal Clean Sweep, a 20-year effort cleaning the 524-mile Erie Canal and 400-mile Canalway Trail—scheduled across more than 180 sites. Cleanup efforts will continue through the weekend—marking the 200th anniversary of the Erie Canal. CBS 6 Albany

- ➤ Brian Jenkins went missing near Albany on Saturday 10 years ago+ his daughters received a text from him after he left the Capital City Rescue Mission and noted being outside near a wooded area by the Port of Albany. The sisters continue to speak with detectives and share his story with posters and car bumper stickers as they search for any new leads. News10 ABC

- ➤ Schenectady will host the second Nightmare Market on May 17 at Jay Street Marketplace with over 70 vendors offering vintage items, Halloween trinkets and spooky art + live attractions including tarot readings and a live fire show.
