- ➤ Niskayuna Community Action Program announced that Niska-Day 44—an annual celebration to honor community service—will take place on Saturday, May 17, with a parade starting at 10:00 a.m. led by the Niskayuna Community Foundation. The day will offer live entertainment, food vendors, rides, games and will conclude with a fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. CBS 6 Albany

- ➤ Two SUNY Schenectady students were honored with the statewide SUNY Chancellor's Awards for academic excellence and community service at their college—recognizing their remarkable contributions to education and the local community. The Daily Gazette
- ➤ SUNY has launched the Healthcare Educator Scholarship that covers tuition, fees and a stipend for nurses earning their master’s degree if they commit to a three-year faculty position at a SUNY associate-level nursing program — a measure part of Gov. Kathy Hochul’s health care workforce agenda — to boost the pool of skilled nurses in the state. WNYT
