- ➤ Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady and Rush Street Gaming have launched a student debt relief program for full-time employees that offers up to $1,000 a year toward student loans—over 100 team members enrolled within a week—and includes a scholarship program plus up to $5,000 in tuition assistance for eligible staff. - ➤ Samantha Humphrey's ex-boyfriend, now 17, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder for her death in 2022 after a thorough investigation used video evidence, GPS tracking, and cell phone records - the District Attorney will hold a press conference Wednesday afternoon as the case moves forward while his name remains confidential. - ➤ Governor Kathy Hochul announced that checks up to $400 will be mailed to 8.2 million households this fall as part of the fiscal year 2026 State Budget + no application is needed.
