- ➤ A Schenectady man, 27-year-old Victor Casado, was convicted Tuesday on six charges including first-degree rape, third-degree rape, drug possession and evidence tampering—he now faces up to 39 years in prison and is set to be sentenced on July 23. News10 ABC
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Scotia-Glenville's school budget of about $67 million was defeated when only 55% of voters approved it; the district needed 60% approval to exceed the tax levy cap. The board will meet today at 6:30 p.m. to decide on changes before a June 17 revote that could force a no-levy increase budget with cuts of $1.7 million. WNYT
