CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Michael Taylor, a Schenectady resident, pleaded guilty on June 5 to second-degree rape of a 14-year-old girl in his apartment—where he provided marijuana and a cell phone—and he will be sentenced on July 10 to six years in prison with 10 years of post-release supervision, along with sex offender registration and a stay-away order for the victim and her mother. - ➤ Caroline Monaco ’25 will graduate from Union this month and then head to Switzerland to join the Hydrochemistry and Contaminants Group at the University of Neuchâtel, where she will study PFAS in groundwater starting in September. She received a Fulbright Student Research Award—recognizing her strong background in environmental science and chemistry—and will work on the year-long project to build on her previous research experience.
