- ➤ A new multi-use path is planned in Scotia on the west side of Freemans Bridge—running from Freemans Bridge Road to Dutch Meadows. Molloy Construction was awarded an almost $1.3 million contract to install an asphalt sidewalk that will be 4800 feet long and eight feet wide for walking, biking and other uses as planning continues for the east side portion. - ➤ A state trooper was seriously hurt in a crash near exit 26 on I-90 in Schenectady County — police officials said. The Daily Gazette
- ➤ A New York State Trooper was seriously injured on June 6 at around 12:30 p.m. on the Thruway when a tractor collided with the rear of a patrol vehicle during a traffic stop near Exit 26 — the crash sent him over the guiderail and down an embankment while a Honda Odyssey’s driver and passenger sustained minor injuries and westbound lanes remain closed.
