  • A Schenectady man, Shateke A. Clark, 28, was charged with criminal mischief after he hit a vehicle with a hammer and broke a television, flooring, PlayStation and glass panels during a domestic incident in Saratoga County on June 5.  WNYT

CULTURE NEWS

  • David Byrne will perform his 'Who Is the Sky' tour at Proctors on September 21—tickets go on sale June 13 at 10 a.m. while his new album, produced by Kid Harpoon and arranged by Ghost Train Orchestra, will be released on September 5. The tour will feature 13 musicians, singers and dancers including members from his American Utopia band.  News10 ABC

  • Assemblyman Robert Smullen introduced the A.J. Smullen Traffic Safety Memorial Act to allow families to purchase roadside memorial signs like the one placed where his 14-year-old son was fatally struck on Route 7 in Niskayuna in March 2024, and the bipartisan bill awaits Assembly & Senate approval.  CBS 6 Albany
  • Today the state Assembly passed a bill to rename the bridge on Becker Road—where it crosses I-88—after fallen soldier CW2 John M. Grassia III, a Rotterdam native who died in a helicopter crash in Texas last year.  WNYT
