- ➤ Glenville police ended an hours-long standoff on Sunday night at 204 Sunnyside Road when a 38-year-old man, reportedly a veteran who had messaged suicidal ideations, exited a home after crisis negotiators engaged him—he was taken into protective custody and transported to Ellis Crisis Center for treatment after a search found a hatchet, AR magazines, and ammunition. - ➤ Schenectady police are searching for 13-year-old Caleah Perkins who was last seen on Monroe Street at 8 p.m. on June 14 wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, purple leggings, and black Nike sneakers and is believed to have taken an Uber to Albany—authorities ask anyone with information to contact police. - ➤ The Schenectady Police Department’s Youth Aid Bureau is asking for help finding missing teen Caleah Perkins, 13, who was last seen near Monroe St. in Schenectady on June 14 at 8:00 p.m. wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, purple leggings and black Nikes — she is believed to have taken an Uber to an unknown location in Albany and anyone with information should call 5186300911. - ➤ As warmer weather extends tick season, Consumer Reports advises Schenectady residents to keep lawns trimmed—cutting grass to three inches and removing leaves and debris to reduce tick habitats.
