- ➤ Electric City Community Grocery received a $2.1M state grant to renovate an existing building for its planned downtown co-op—final lease negotiations continue over a move to the Wedgeway Building on State Street. The city will add $1M to the project, which has been in the works for over a decade by the community organization. News10 ABC
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ State and local law enforcement arrested 13 people in a major drug bust — including two in Schenectady — and seized over $1 million and nearly 500 kilos of cocaine along with guns, cars, methamphetamine, and marijuana as part of an 18-month investigation led by U.S. Attorney John Sarcone. WNYT

- ➤ Governor Kathy Hochul declared a state of emergency today in 32 counties after severe storms and an extreme heatwave pushed temperatures high—health officials warned that too much heat can cause dizziness and cramps.
