- ➤ Summer Night returns to State Street on Friday, July 11th at 5:00 p.m. and will feature tribute bands including original members of Billy Joel’s band along with local acts, food vendors, and a kids zone offering crafts and a climbing wall. Earlier in the day, sand sculpture carving begins at 8:00 a.m. and the celebration will end with a fireworks display at 10 p.m. CBS 6 Albany
- ➤ Plant lovers gathered Sunday at Frog Alley Brewery for the House Plant Expo — hosted by Plantella — where they saw many types of succulents, cacti, and carnivorous plants. Organizer Courtney Kocsis said the event boosted local plant businesses and the expo is set to return in Schenectady next year with future shows planned in Bristol on September 14 and Springfield on October 19.
