ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ The American Red Cross said they are helping four people after a fire on Avenue A in Schenectady late Friday night — volunteers provided emergency aid and financial assistance for clothing, necessities, and health services to two adults and two children aged 5 and 6. WNYT
- ➤ A fire on Schenectady Avenue injured one person late Friday — emergency crews responded swiftly to control the blaze. The Daily Gazette
- ➤ Schenectady Fire Department firefighters fought two fires in one night — a pickup truck crashed into a home on Van Velsen Street at 4:00 a.m. and started a fire contained by 4:15 a.m. with no injuries, while a structure fire at a two-family home on Avenue A at 11:30 p.m. injured one and displaced 10 people before crews put it out shortly after 2:30 a.m.— News10 ABC
- ➤ A pickup truck crashed into a house at 1035 Van Velsen Street early Saturday morning, causing an exterior fire that filled the interior with smoke and displaced five residents while firefighters controlled the blaze in under 20 minutes (the truck's driver and passenger suffered minor injuries).
