The Gift of Caring program let customers buy cookies (with groups like St. Luke’s Food Pantry, Schenectady City Mission benefiting) and Operation Adopt a Soldier shipped 5,000 boxes to military members overseas. - ➤ Leonardo Guzman, a 35-year-old from Schenectady, pleaded guilty before Judge Roger McDonough on Monday in connection with the January 30 shooting death of 30-year-old DeWitt Miller on Central Avenue in Albany—he will face a 20-year state prison term with five years of supervision and a sentencing hearing set for September 12.
