ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A tractor-trailer crashed Monday morning on I-90 at the off ramp to the Northway near Exit 24 and blocked traffic until crews removed it—State Police said the driver was taken to the hospital with injuries believed to be non life threatening and the right lane has since reopened. WNYT
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Muhammad Adnan Saeed, owner of Sublime Medical Transportation in Schenectady County, was sentenced to three to nine years in prison for Medicaid and unemployment fraud—he admitted to inflating claims for over 2,500 rides and must pay $766,600 in restitution. News10 ABC
- ➤ Schenectady man Vickram Hoolas was arrested on felony charges for possessing a stolen electric bike valued over $1,000—he was taken into custody following an EMS assist call on Sunday at 4:47 p.m. on state Route 146 in Clifton Park. CBS 6 Albany

- ➤ New York State Education officials adopted revised high school graduation requirements that focus on six key student attributes and set a single-diploma system + the plan offers exemptions for major life events. The New York Inspires plan will fully be implemented in fall 2029 + allowing schools to adjust teaching methods as needed. News10 ABC
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today, Governor Hochul announced a pilot program from the New York State Insurance Fund that gives small businesses a one-time credit of $1,000 or 10 percent of their workers’ comp premium to buy personal protective equipment for extreme heat protection+ eligible items include cooling vests, fans, and UV-resistant glasses for companies with up to 10 employees. The program aims to help workers in industries such as manufacturing, warehousing, carpentry, landscaping, and farming stay safe during record heat. CBS 6 Albany
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Washington County Public Health Services in Argyle said a cat tested positive for rabies and people should update their pets’ vaccines—local residents are reminded that a neighbor was exposed along State Route 40 earlier this month and is receiving treatment.
