- ➤ Marvel, an emotional support dog who went missing from his Rotterdam home, returned to his owner Thursday evening after a local pet finder used high value treats to lure him back (neighbors and news tips aided the search). CBS 6 Albany
- ➤ NYRA will host Military Appreciation Day at Saratoga Race Course on August 14, offering free admission to veterans and active-duty service members with proper ID. The event, presented by Rivers Casino + Resort Schenectady, will feature special race honors, musical performances and a donation to support Operation At Ease. CBS 6 Albany

- ➤ On August 7, 54-year-old Keita Williams from Schenectady was arrested during a routine I-87 traffic stop after a police K9 alerted officers to narcotics in the vehicle—officers found 104 grams of cocaine and charged him with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. - ➤ Local musician David J debuted his unreleased song 'Built for Burning' on CBS6 Friday morning and will open for country star Lee Brice at the new M and T Bank Center on Sept.6—he is a 21-year-old Rotterdam native now based in Nashville who brings hometown pride to Schenectady. CBS 6 Albany
