- ➤ The Drive for Inclusion Car Show took place Sunday morning at Mohawk Chevrolet in Ballston Spa - car enthusiasts and Special Olympians joined to raise funds for Special Olympics. Harding Mazzotti LLP sponsored the event, which marked its third year of bringing the community together. CBS 6 Albany
- ➤ A car show was held at Mohawk Chevrolet to raise funds for the region's 4,000 Special Olympics athletes. Special Olympics cross-country skier Kevin Brown — who said that competing changed his life — saw athletes judge cars and name a 1965 Cadillac Coupe de Ville Best in Show, with more competitions set before the State Fall Games starting October 16th. - ➤ Schenectady has expanded its USTA deal to renovate 18 tennis courts (in Central Park) as part of new plans to upgrade local recreation (with work set to begin soon). The Daily Gazette

- ➤ Thomas Allen Meuse, a 14-year-old with brown hair and a scar above his left eyebrow, vanished from Schenectady on August 9th and has been missing for over 50 years; his poster is on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children website (police ask anyone with information to contact the Schenectady PD or the center). EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Assemblyman Santabarbara announced a new law that requires publishers to offer accessible versions of printed instructional materials for college students with disabilities—he said the law, enacted as Chapter 231, will ensure that students using audio, large print, and screen reader digital files get equal access—and the measure is expected to support inclusive higher education.
