  • Schenectady Police responded to a shooting near Watt Street and Tremont Avenue at 8:31 p.m. on August 11 by transporting an adult woman in her 30s with a gunshot wound to her leg to a local hospital as detectives continue to investigate with no suspect in custody.  CBS 6 Albany

  • Ryan Hale, a Shaker High School and UAlbany graduate from the Capital Region, is closing in on 4 million followers by video chatting with people in their native language—he spends 6 to 8 hours online each day and thanks his language teachers for his success.  WNYT
  • Local pop artist Lil Josiey uses his award-winning platform to speak about mental health as he won the Favorite Pop Artist award at the Listen Up Music Awards in Cohoes and released his album Catharsis to break the stigma among young men—he supports help through Access Supports for Living.  WNYT
