  • GE Vernova announced on Tuesday it will invest $41 million to expand generator production at its Schenectady plant—further details on the project have not yet been provided.  The Daily Gazette

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Today, GE Vernova announced a $41 million investment at its Center of Excellence in Downtown Schenectady that will create 50 high tech union jobs supported by up to $1 million in Excelsior Jobs Program tax credits — a move to meet growing electricity demand.  CBS 6 Albany

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Union College recognized students on the dean's list for the 2024 to 2025 academic year—awarded to those with at least a 3.50 GPA—when the list was published on August 19.  Union College
