  • Local families and supporters will join the 4th annual Reverse Rett Upstate New York Fall Festival to raise funds for Rett Syndrome research—offering live music, food trucks, raffles, auctions, and kid-friendly activities from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Speigletown Firehouse on Route 40 in Troy—while partnering with the Rett Syndrome Research Trust for added support.  CBS 6 Albany

  • Local entrepreneurs Karie and Michael Countermine opened Boardroom and Lounge at 1002 Wedgewood Heights in Rotterdam, upstate New York's only indoor cornhole destination—featuring leagues, tournaments, corporate events, a private lounge, snack bar, and pool table—and now welcome both casual and competitive players.  WNYT

  • The Federal Reserve cut the interest rate by a quarter point on Wednesday to a range of 4.00—4.25, marking the first rate cut in nine months. Local finance advisor Robert Canterbury and Siena College professor Arindam Mandal said the move may help homebuyers while balancing inflation and job growth.  CBS 6 Albany
