- ➤ Unity House of Troy hosted an Evening of Unity cocktail party that raised funds for community aid with dozens of guests including CBS6's Liz Bishop in attendance. President and CEO David Bach said the event honored donors and volunteers who support services for mental illness, domestic violence, and developmental disabilities. CBS 6 Albany

- ➤ Matt Baumgartner ’95, who changed from running a restaurant to farming at June Farms, will star on a new reality TV show on Amazon Prime dropping on November 17— the show follows his life and work at the farm. Union College
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Local higher education faculty shared their latest research updates this week—associate professor Nicole A. Theodosiou published an article on science communication in Development, professor Tommaso Gazzarri presented a paper and chaired a panel on ancient literature, and director Marcus Hotaling finished his board service with an award for his work on mental health services; professors Jennifer Fredricks, Michael Sitvarin, and assistant professor Prateek Arora also published studies on cognitive remediation, spider control, and economic risk sharing.
