- ➤ On Thursday, the Department of Agriculture and Markets announced a $2.5 million grant to expand community gardens at Pitney Meadows and Schenectady schools—funding that will support urban farming and provide more local produce opportunities. The Daily Gazette
- ➤ Governor Kathy Hochul announced Friday that the last free fishing day for 2025 will be held Tuesday, Nov. 11 to honor Veterans—anglers can fish for free in New York’s freshwater waters while following all fishing rules.
