Two SUNY Schenectady students were honored with the statewide SUNY Chancellor's Awards for academic excellence and community service at their college—recognizing their remarkable contributions to education and the local community.
SUNY has launched the Healthcare Educator Scholarship that covers tuition, fees and a stipend for nurses earning their master’s degree if they commit to a three-year faculty position at a SUNY associate-level nursing program — a measure part of Gov. Kathy Hochul’s health care workforce agenda — to boost the pool of skilled nurses in the state.
🏛️ Government
A bill in review with the New York State Assembly will offer up to 70 percent rebates for electric landscaping equipment, including lawnmowers, snow blowers, and leaf blowers, if passed.
Supporters say modern electric tools match gas models in power and need less upkeep — hardware stores are already seeing increased customer interest.
