Scotia-Glenville's school budget of about $67 million was defeated when only 55% of voters approved it; the district needed 60% approval to exceed the tax levy cap.

The board will meet today at 6:30 p.m. to decide on changes before a June 17 revote that could force a no-levy increase budget with cuts of $1.7 million.

Schenectady police today launched a drone first responder program that sends drones to emergencies such as car crashes, home break-ins, or noisy house parties — letting officers get a view of the scene before they arrive.

The new program is designed to help improve response times and ensure public safety.
