- ➤ Ellms Christmas Tree Farm in Charlton marks 35 years as it opens for the holiday season and will welcome thousands of visitors seeking their perfect Christmas tree — the family farm has grown from a small yard work project to 500 acres that have produced around 90,000 trees over the years. - ➤ On Thanksgiving morning, Capital Region residents joined turkey trots and races to support local aid programs; the 24th annual Saratoga 5K (8:30 a.m. at City Hall) raised funds for children in need, and Troy’s Turkey Trot registration (6:30 a.m. at the Atrium) along with Schenectady's 44th annual Cardiac Classic benefited local food banks and shelters.
